Happy Monday! Yesterday I was part of the Connecticut Artists Alley at the Brass City Comic Con. I met some great people there – one of which is comic artist Cesar Feliciano, who bought a copy of Rumbirds chapter 1 for his daughter. (You might recognize his work on The Red Ten or the Female Force series!) When I stopped by his table later on to say hi, he surprised me with the above sketch. Thanks, Cesar!! (I…forgot to take a picture of the actual sketch, but I will update the Rumbirds Facebook page with it later on. :V shhhhh)
I also met the mind behind The Qwillery, a blog covering book reviews and author interviews. Sally was super nice and SUPREMELY KNOWLEDGABLE ABOUT BIRDS, which is awesome. She updates her blog frequently so definitely check it out if you’re a fan of fiction books. I’ve been reading like crazy with my new commute + Kindle Fire so finding out about The Qwillery felt like good timing.
Between meeting cool locals and talking shop with other creators, I’ve been pulled into some exciting stuff that I can’t talk about just yet. But hopefully I’ll have some fun updates in the upcoming months B) As always, stay tuned~!
